Daily walks on the Lycian Way

Antalya, Olympos and Cirali.


This easy walk is a part of the Lycian Way and suitable for the whole family, with a little river crossing and stunning views all the way. At the end there will be time for a refreshing swim.

Our walk starts at Ulupinar village and follows the river through a picturesque green valley. There is a refreshing river crossing half way down, before we trek up to the little known upper flames of the Chimera. At the top we can rest and enjoy the fantastic views of Cirali Valley and MT. Olympos. Then we head down to the major flames, with an ancient temple ruin. Now it is only a 20min. stroll down to our finish point. At the end of the walk is an option to go for a swim at the famous Cirali beach. Please notice that the return transfer can take up to one hour.

Our walk starts at Beycik village (700m) and follows the Lycian way through a picturesque green valley and finishes in Ulupinar village (300m). At the end there will be time for a refreshing Tea house visit.



Enjoy the amazing scenery of the majestic Tahtali Dagi. This is the absolute highlight trek of our area.We start walking at Yayla Kuzdere, a small village settled high on the side of Mount Olympos. Trek up zigzags through cedar forests, with marvellous views of the mountain (950m ascent). Picnic lunch is on the Cukuryayla pass (alt. 1950m), in the shadow of giant cedar trees. Here starts the optional climb up to the summit. The pass is covered in snow during winter and spring, so you should have appropriate shoes for this. The descent to the village of Beycik goes through a fairytale forest and offers great views of the coast. At the village teahouse of Beycik we meet the bus.



We trek on an ancient path up the valley of the Göynük stream, crossing the water and climbing through pine forests. We picnic at the side of the stream, and there is chance to refresh in the crystal clear water. Meet the bus at the summer pasture of Göynük, and short transfer to Gedelme Village. 6 hours - 800m ascent ?



From the ruins of the Genoese Castle we head through the mighty pine forest towards MT.Olympos. After about 1.5 hours we reach the height of 1150m where the cedar and juniper trees start. This trek gives us a great opportunity to explore the endemic richness of flora at this altitude. At the end of the day we can have our well earned tea in an authentic village house. 5-6 hours - highest point 1150m



The classic 14km Hike from Olympos to Adrasan.



The first one hour of the day starts with an uphill out of the village, once we reach the top, great views are waiting for us.
The trek continues undulating through pine forest with views of Susuz ada (Waterless Island) and descends to the famous Lighthouse of Gelidonya. Here we have a big rest and enjoy the unique panorama. From the Lighthouse to the car it’s just a 45min stroll down the hill.

Etrim Village

Enjoy the amazing scenery of the majestic Kale Dagi Mountain. This is the absolute highlight trek of our area.

Our hike starts at a 275m high pass and climbs gently up to the forest watchtower of Kale Dagi (530m). After a refreshing break we can enjoy the views of the Gokova and Gulluk Bays. We will explore the little known ancient city of Syangela with its defence walls and giant cistern. Then we are heading down on the ancient path to Etrim Village. Here we finish our walk with a picnic lunch in the Village Teahouse.



Uyku Vadisi – Gokceler Village

This day starts with picturesque drive through the mountainous backcountry of Bodrum. Once arrived at the Old Mill Restaurant we start our refreshing walk along the river through the Uyku Vadisi (Sleep Valley). After a few refreshing river crossings we reach an interesting cave. From here we return to our start point for a nutritious well deserved village lunch. The return transfer takes us back to Bodrum along the coastal road.
